How did Kebaso Morara’s accident occur? The accident occurred when Morara’s vehicle collided with another car, reportedly driven by an intoxicated motorist. Morara was travelling back to Nairobi from Tharaka-Nithi County where he had spent the day with members of the public. According to witnesses, the drunk driver lost control of his car and veered into Morara’s lane, causing the crash.
In a follow-up post, Morara lamented that the motorist who hit his car fled the scene and left his wrecked car. “I just want to confirm that his escape is out of genuine fear. A day before the accident, the popular civic educator took his gospel of governance to Embu County. His session came to a brief standstill after a motorcade believed to be that of Mbeere North MP Geoffrey Ruku snaked through the crowd. The attentive crowd withdrew from Morara’s ‘inject’ session to chase away the lawmaker, whose vehicles faded away quickly.
