Migori father, Michael Robi (l), was heartbroken with his daughter’s disappearance. |
She was returning to Mount Kenya University (MKU), Thika, where she is a third-year student pursuing nursing. Robi narrated the last moments with his 20-year-old daughter before the mysterious disappearance. “She left with the Ena Coach bus. She was going to Nairobi and then take another vehicle to Thika as she returned to school. When I called around 7pm, the call was not going through. When I followed up, I was told she did not reach Thika,” he told KBC Channel 1. Which items did Robi’s daughter leave behind?
Robi was told his daughter had an issue when they arrived at Suswa, where they had stopped for a break. He was told she left her seat and went to another, where she engaged in conversation and light moments. “She was the first to alight when they arrived at their booking office. She left the shoes in the vehicle and took her bag and a carton of shopping items. I tried to trace her phone, and when she reached the National Archives, I was told she had removed the beads from her hair. She removed her SIM card from her phone,” he said. The family has already reported the case to the police and asked Kenyans to help trace their daughter.
Vihiga girl goes missing In another story, Laura Cathy Otieno, a former Mudavadi Girls High School student, went missing after clearing from the school. The 18-year-old girl had travelled to Vihiga county to run several errands in preparation for joining Kenyatta University. Laura’s mother told TUKO.co.ke that the youngster was last seen in Majengo town boarding a matatu to Kisumu, but she never reached home. She desperately appealed to Kenyans to help her trace her daughter and bring her home safe and sound.
