The bishop and his wife have been trending for the past few days after a viral leaked audio between Damaris, a businesswoman who attends his church, and another woman emerged, leaving tongues wagging. Hours after Wairimu Kimani asked for forgiveness for leaking the audio, the bishop has, for the first time, addressed it publicly, albeit in a hilarious manner, while preaching at his church.
He left his congregation in bursty laughter after hilariously teasing his wife Joy as she entered the church premises. “Welcome wakindukulu,” he said as he burst out in laughter with his congregation. He also warned his congregation against trusting their friends with sensitive information, citing the leaked conversation in the audio. “People are tough nowadays. Haven’t you seen people confiding in their friends, and then the friend releases the audio to the public? If a friend can do that, what about a distant person? You should not just disclose information to anyone. Some secrets just take to the grave,” he stated.
“Actually you cannot even trust that person you are married to. I spent the week looking for ‘muthogoto’ in my house. I searched all the drawers because I wanted to take some for my mind to calm down,” he added while poking fun at his wife again.
