Two sisters have gone viral on TikTok after disclosing what they found in their dead mum’s diary, which they decided to read, hoping to get a sign. A woman identified as Chancijo shared the video of her and her sister reading through her mother’s diary days after her death, which occurred after a battle with cancer. The sisters were perusing the pages in the viral clip when they came across a bold entry that seemed to be the sign they were looking for in the journal. As if knowing that her daughters would go through the diary, the mum had, before her death, written a note in the diary giving specific instructions to her daughters.
“Stop reading my stuff! Thank you,” the boldly-written letters by her mum read in the notebook. The sisters were stunned and amused by the written warning in the notebook. “When you and your sister are going through your deceased mum’s journal looking for a sign from her, and you come across this,” she captioned the TikTok clip. Is it okay to read a dead person’s diary? Netizens were divided on whether it was right to read through a deceased person’s diary. Here are some of the comments: Metallic Hope said: “Luckily, I have such terrible handwriting I can barely understand what I write, so I know if anyone finds it, it’s incomprehensible.”
SoNotSydney said: “I’m an audio journaler, and the thought of somebody hearing my high rambles is funny and scary.” Em Vee said: “My mom did the same; it was the laugh I needed during a tough time. She knew me well! Haha.” Kikisosleepy said: “This is exactly why I’ve never kept a journal.”
