The Odinga family hail matriarch Ida on her 74th birthday

Ida Betty Odinga is celebrating her 74th birthday today, and her daughter Winnie has shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.
Winnie posted a photo of herself and her mother at the entrance of their home, where gifts were being exchanged, and captioned it: "Waking up at 8 a.m. on a Saturday is no easy feat. Only for you, Mom! Happy birthday!"
In addition to celebrating her birthday, Ida is marking her 51st wedding anniversary today. Last year, her birthday was honored with a lavish party, where she arrived in a limousine.
The family dressed to impress, and Ida made several outfit changes throughout the festivities. During the cake-cutting ceremony, Raila Odinga expressed his admiration for his wife, saying, “The baby is born, and it is upon me to wish her a happy birthday. You can all see her face looks so shiny, and we wish her many more years. In my other incarnation, I lived in Germany, so I will sing 'Happy Birthday' for her in German and then in English.”
It will be exciting to see how the Odinga family celebrates Ida this year.
