Standoff as Man Jumps into Moving Police Car to Demand His Specs: "Mkitaka Mniue"

The man questioned how he would move without his spectacles

Moi University was rocked by protests as more than 900 lecturers went on strike demanding to be paid their salary arrears. The man questioned how he would move without his spectacles.  Chaos was witnessed around the learning institution as the dons complained that the teaching staff had not been paid salaries for two months. What led to standoff at Moi University? During the protests outside the institution, there was a standoff as a man demanded his spectacles from the police.  He questioned how police officers wanted him to walk, presumably referring to his vision-related issues. The man insisted that the officers must hand over the spectacles even as a police officer hanging on a police van talked back at him. As the vehicle drove off, he jumped into it, vowing to ensure he got his visual aids back. "If someone wants to kill me, let them kill me, but give me my glasses. How do you expect me to walk? Give me my glasses. Give me my glasses, and tell me where I was wearing them. We're going with your car," the man shouted.
