Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi

Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has laid out the red carpet ahead of President William Ruto's tour of ODM leader Raila Odinga's luo-Nyanza region.  John Mbadi has set up billboards to welcome President William Ruto to Homa Bay.  The head of state is set for a four-day visit to the region that voted overwhelmingly for Raila in the 2022 General Election. Ruto's visit will start today, Wednesday, August 28, in Migori county, where he is expected to launch the Kegonga Cluster Water Project and Ngere-Mapera Road before inspecting the progress in the Lower Kuja Irrigation Project. The head of state is then set to tour Homa Bay county on Thursday, August 29. How is Mbadi preparing for Ruto's visit The head of state awarded the county with two lucrative positions in his administration, with Mbadi in the treasury and Raymond Omollo serving as Interior principal secretary. Ahead of the president's visit, Mbadi has pulled all the stops to ensure a memorable event in the county. Mbadi has placed massive billboards welcoming the president on roads leading into Homa Bay CBD.  The billboard shows Mbadi shaking Ruto's hand during his swearing-in ceremony with welcoming words in the local Luo dialect. "H.E William Samoei Ruto, welcome Homa Bay county. We welcome you home," reads the billboard. In Homa Bay, Ruto will commission the Oyugis Water Project, inspect the Homa Bay Fish Market, and launch the Rusinga Ring Road. He will then grace Mbadi's thanksgiving service. How is Kenya's economy under Mbadi Earlier, Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma praised the professionalism within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, highlighting the party's expertise. Kaluma claimed the Kenyan economy was already witnessing a positive change following the nomination of Mbadi to Ruto's Cabinet. Kaluma saw Mbadi's appointment to head the Treasury after Njunguna Ndung'u's dismissal as a sign of the opposition outfit's impact on the economy.
