A student from Butula Boys High School has had a rough time only days after returning to school as he was made to crush a phone after sneaking it to school. Butula High Student School Boy breaking his phone. In a video shared by Ndung'u Nyoro, the young boy is seen with a hammer squatting near his phone. He first looks at it, not believing what is about to happen to it, before starting to smash it. Teachers off-camera urged him on, and they gave reasons for not giving any other time punishment after he flouted the school rules.  "Crush that phone; I want to see powder. We have no time to send you some to get the parents; we deal with you right here. Hit it even if it belongs to your dad," said one of the teachers. Kenyans react to Butula Boys High School video Mueni Kisong'e: "I think is a good punishment. Why bother a parent coming all the way to collect it?" GA Cucu NA Nyoks: "Oooh noo, but it's good, next time he will follow the rules." Kopiron Kipchirchir: "Why wouldn't the just confiscate the phone and punish the boy in another form." Dannick Mokua: "I approve this. Keep it for them, they will be okay risking it; crash it, they won't risk coming with it. Way to go." Entito Ole Mohu: "Rules are there to be adhered to...not a good feeling though I support this, lesson learnt the hard way." KaGo Wa Nduta: "With a smart phone ?With all the dirty video apps, I second the punishment." Leila Nyambura: "It is the best. For both him and the buyer. Rules are rules."
