Celebrated Kenyan YouTuber Gertrude Juma, popularly known as Miss Trudy, is currently in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwean YouTube couple, The Birioti Family, hosts Kenyan YouTuber Miss Trudy. How much Wode Maya and Miss Trudy spend on their wedding? Miss Trudy and her Ghanaian partner, Wode Maya, formalised their union on September 10, 2022, in western Kenya. The private wedding was attended by Trudy’s family and relatives. Maya flew into the country with six people from Ghana, among them his uncle and pastor, who officiated their union. The wedding came after famous west African content creator paid dowry for Trudy, and in a video posted on his YouTube, Maya made his way to his in-law’s homestead holding a goat and a cow, accompanied by his family. The vocal YouTuber said his father-in-law didn’t ask for a lot. Trudy got married on the day she lost her mother. Trudy’s dad got emotional and sobbed uncontrollably after his daughter officially married the lover of her life. The lovebirds revealed they spent KSh 100,000 on their ceremony. Trudy was invited by a popular Zimbabwean couple, The Birioti Family, for dinner at their home on the outskirts of Harare, Zimbabwe. While in the couple’s kitchen preparing sadza (ugali) and okara, Trudy asked them how they met, and they shared their beautiful love journey, leaving her amazed. “We met at one of the oldest ghettos in Harare where she was working. I was living in that area. I fell in love with her, we started talking, then I told her to quit her job I would employ her,” the father of one recalled. The lady said she used to work at a gaming place, but the environment wasn’t good for her as a woman. “The first day I saw her, I bought tickets to play, and I told her; ‘you’re my lucky charm’ and I won the game. After that we exchanged numbers and started talking and one thing led to one another,” he shared.
The couple said they were inspired by Wode Maya, Trudy’s husband, to start creating content. During the chit-chat with The Birioti Family, when asked how she met the award-winning Ghanaian YouTuber, Trudy said: “We met in Ethiopia for the first time five years ago. I was depressed and confused and was praying to god I needed direction, and I saw a DM from a random guy saying he wanted us to meet. I didn’t want us to go, but I decided to risk. It is the best decision I ever made. It changed my life. He was an answered prayer,” she said. When the food was ready, the mother of lady knelt to wash Trudy’s hands and she was bewildered by the gesture.
