Nominated CS Hassan Joho alongside president Ruto |
Hassan Joho, the Cabinet secretary nominee for the Ministry of Mining and Blue Economy, has defended his move to join the Kenya Kwanza government. Appearing before the Committee on Appointment on Sunday, August 4, Joho expressed his willingness to work with President William Ruto, despite having been a vocal critic of his administration since it came into power. In the past, Joho vowed never to join or show any affiliation with the Kenya Kwanza administration. However, in a change of heart, Joho stated his intention to collaborate with Ruto for the betterment of the nation. “Only a fool doesn’t change his mind. This is a clarion call to serve the country. I have been a critic, and now I have been given an opportunity to make a difference. I have been critical of this government, but it’s time to realize we are serving one nation, one people,” Joho said.
