A daughter has shared the heart-wrenching turn of events after their mother threw in the towel on her marriage. The woman plans on finding peace and focusing on herself. In a heartbreaking story shared by Desiren, the woman noted that their mother had decided to leave her husband after 38 years of marriage. Why is the wife leaving? The revelation came as a shock to her children, who were unaware of the extent of their mother’s suffering during their parents’ long union.  Only when they questioned her did she open up about the fact that she stuck around for them. "I saw my dad hit her from time to time and felt it was normal. I feel like I've let her down, I don't even know how I felt after the meeting that she called," she said. During the meeting, the mother explained that she sacrificed everything but was finally leaving because everyone was grown up. What happens to the woman's father? The daughter disclosed that she was at a loss for words, given that she was her first child, but didn't know their mum was sad and uncomfortable. "I feel like I've failed her. What should I do? And how can I make it up to her?" she questioned. She added that their father kept begging her to stay and even refused to eat. What makes her distressed is that the dad is sick, and their mum was his primary caregiver.  "She hired a caregiver for him already, but what should I do to my hurting mum and desperate dad?" the woman continued. As much as the separation is painful for the family, the daughter admits she has to accept her mother's decision. "After everything she said at the meeting, I'll be stupid to try to convince her to stay, especially since she put her life on hold for us," she posited. Given that the mother feels like her job is done and she's finally free, it is prudent to let her focus on herself now.
