The Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) has sparked strong reactions from several legislators who are rejecting the proposed salary increases.

Figures like Jalang'o, Babu Owino, and Edwin Sifuna have publicly urged the SRC to reconsider amidst the ongoing crisis.

Senator Edwin Sifuna, in particular, revealed startling internal details that have shocked taxpayers. He disclosed that despite being allocated a government vehicle as the Deputy Minority Whip, he was astonished to discover the substantial balance of Ksh 377,000 on his parliamentary ETC card this morning.

"It just doesn't make sense," he stressed.

Sifuna further called on the Speaker to explore ways for Parliament to reduce budgets and alleviate taxpayer burdens.
