President William Ruto mourns High Court Judge David Majanja

President William Ruto has mourned High Court Judge David Majanja who passed on last night at the Nairobi Hospital while undergoing treatment.

I have learnt with great sorrow about the death of the Hon. David A S Majanja, who was a judge of the High Court of Kenya, and a member of the Judicial Service Commission,”

“On behalf of the government, I extend condolences to Hon. Majanja’s family and friends and to the Judiciary. May Almighty God grant you the strength to bear this loss, and may his soul rest in eternal peace,” he said in a statement

The Head of State described Majanja as a brilliant lawyer who joined the Bench after an exemplary spell at the Bar.

“His integrity and ability inspired the confidence of his colleagues, while his powerful intellect made him a trusted juridical voice,” he said

“It has been evident for long that although fairly experienced, Hon. Majanja was at the beginning of a long and illustrious career, and this fact makes his passing all the more tragic,” added the President

Ruto’s Deputy Rigathi Gachagua also expressed sadness after the passing on of the Justice Majanja. He said the High Court judge had an illustrious career in the Judiciary.

“Justice Majanja was a prolific gifted mind that immensely contributed to redefining the legal profession and the justice system of our country in diverse ways,” said Gachagua
