"Doctors asked for KSh 40,000 to take his blood sample to India for further tests, but I cannot afford the cash. He was supposed to be taken to India, but due to lack of funds, I cannot take him there," Okanga said. Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the Azimio la Umoja die-hard supporter said he was not okay and hopes well-wishers will come through for him. "Naomba wakenya mnisaidie. Results zikitoka isemekana mtoto aende India sina chochote. Wakenya wote wenye wananipenda nisaidieni. Hata kama ni KSh 10, KSh 50, KSh 100 or any I will appreciate. Daktari aliniambia tutapoteza huyu mtoto na niko na stress. Wakenya wanapenda kuchanga kwa matanga sana. Mtoto wangu akikufa mtu asijipendekeze ati ananichangia kwa sababu sahii naomba usaidizi akiwa hai lakini hakuna mtu anashughulika. Nikimpoteza mtoto wanasiasa wasijaribu kunichangia (Please, Kenyans, help me. When the results come out, it is said that the child should go to India, but I have nothing. All Kenyans who love me, please help. Even if it's KSh 10, KSh 50, KSh 100, or any amount, I will appreciate it. The doctor told me that we will lose this child, and I am stressed. Kenyans are generous at funerals. If my child dies, I don't want anyone to claim they contributed for their own gain; help me now while they are alive, but no one is interested. If I lose my child, politicians should not try to donate)," he said.  Okanga said only Babu Owino has been helping him since his son was hospitalised, revealing Raila Odinga sent him KSh 50,000 for the 10-year-old boy's treatment. He also thanked Nairobi MCA Oluoch Oduor for helping him. "Babu amesimama na mimi (Babu has been helping me). 70% of the money I have used on my son's treatment it's Babu who gave me. I call him even in the middle of the night and he picks my calls and send money for my boy's treatment," he said. Okanga said despite being a public figure and being known to most politicians, they had gone silent and no longer pick his calls. "Politicians don't pick my calls. Please help me save my son's life," he said. To support Nuru Okanga's son's treatment, you can use till number 4542254.
