President William Ruto has taken decisive action by dismissing his entire Cabinet and the Attorney General, except for Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi. This move comes in response to widespread protests led by Gen Z, accusing several Cabinet Secretaries of corruption, incompetence, and mismanagement of funds. In the aftermath of this decision, former Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management CS Moses Kuria has praised the youth for catalysing significant change in the country. “I’ve been calling him them the generation of Uber and fish fingers. They have proven me wrong," Kuria told Citizen TV.He expressed regret for underestimating their impact, acknowledging that his previous remarks about the fearless youth were unwarranted. Kuria went on to express a desire to align himself with Gen Z, stating that if given another opportunity, he would choose to be counted among them. "Now the Uber and the fish fingers people have shown me they can take this country forward. If I had a wish, I would want to be a Gen Z,” he said. Furthermore, he highlighted internal divisions within the Cabinet, noting their inability to conduct meetings effectively as a contributing factor to its dissolution. “We had our problems, even to have a Cabinet committee was a problem and we needed to give the president a chance to reconvene his cabinet,” he added.
