Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua has outrightly rejected a suggestion that he should be in President William Ruto's administration Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua said she wasn't interested in the AG position.  How did Karua respond to joining gov't In a post on X on Saturday, July 6, a user shared a template showing the veteran politician's illustrious political career. He claimed that Karua would be ideal for the Attorney General position that is currently vacant following the sacking of Justin Muturi and the renomination of Rebecca Miano to another position. "I support @MarthaKarua for the position of Attorney General. Her advice is much needed by the Government. Martha Karua should take the position immediately," wrote. However, Karua quickly responded to him, respectfully thanking him for the consideration before stating that she wasn't interested. "Thanks not interested," Karua wrote. Why is Karua quitting Azimio On Thursday, July 25, the Karua-led Narc Kenya party said it would no longer be in the opposition coalition party. In a brief notice addressed to Azimio La Umoja secretary general Junet Mohamed, the outfit cited "ongoing political developments" as the reason for its immediate cessation of Azimio membership. The party, with others, co-founded the coalition in the build-up to the 2022 polls in which Karua vied for the presidency as Raila Odinga's running mate.
