European University Offers Kenyan Gen Zs 5k Scholarships

European Business University (EBU) of Luxembourg and Uamuzi Foundation have announced a partnership to offer tuition-free civic education programs. A section of Kenyan youths demonstrating against the government.  Why European Business University is offering scholarships Coming in the wake of ongoing anti-government demonstrations where the Kenyan young populace, especially Generation Z, has been pushing for better governance, the programs aim to empower Kenyan youth and legislators to drive positive change. Uamuzi Foundation launched a social media platform that offers civic education and connects the electorate to their leaders.  Through the Uamuzi Foundation, the European Business University is offering 5000 hardship scholarships to Gen Zs in Kenya as they continue taking action to hold their leaders accountable. "The protests taking place in Kenya (Gen Z) and those taking place in Bangladesh have a common thread: that of civic and social responsibility. Join us in pushing forward for the common good. We are offering 5,000 hardship scholarships through our partner Uamuzi Foundation to Gen Z in Kenya," said Mulli in a LinkedIn post. What are courses offered at European Business University Mulli said the hardship scholarship program will offer Gen Zs in Kenya the opportunity to enroll in a diverse range of courses designed to equip them with essential skills for personal and professional growth. The Gen Z offered courses are tuition-free with an application processing fee/ commitment fee of KSh 900. Over 40 Courses in Business Administration, AI and Technology, Project Management, Compliance, Education, English among others are available in the coming term. Also in the partnership, EBU is offering 100 scholarships for legislators to undertake an online capacity certificate course in leadership. The course equips civic leaders with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their roles. All civic leadership courses at the institution are subsidised and tuition-free, with a KSh 5000 application and commitment fee. The courses offered in this category include Ethics, Strategic Management, Auditing and Assurance, Business Negotiations, Women and Leadership, Gender Equality, AI for Leaders and Managers. The application deadline is August 1, 2024. How EBU partnered with the University of Eldoret Also, the University of Eldoret (UOE) and EBU extended their partnership to offer artificial intelligence courses. The two tertiary learning institutions first signed a deal to team up on March 27, 2023 in a landmark public-private partnership in the education sector.  In the new development, UOE and EBU will offer 13-week AI integrated certificate courses in Hospitality, with programs such as Front Office Operations offered. The two institutions will also offer AI-integrated certificate courses in Business with programs such as Women in Leadership, Business Management and Agile Software Methodologies.
