Governor James Orengo has criticised plans of dialogue between President William Ruto and Azimio leader Raila Odinga. Governor James Orengo said dialogue plans between President William Ruto and Raila Odinga would be an abomination. During the burial of Kevin Ochieng' Onyango in Alego Usonga Constituency on Friday, July 19, Orengo insisted that justice must be served before anything. The veteran politician urged the political class to put aside their interests and ensure the victims of police brutality during anti-government protests get justice. Education is Your Right! Don’t Let Social Norms Hold You Back. "I am saying putting aside even my position as governor, that justice must be done. We cannot kill our people and the time when we are mourning them we are looking for offices. That cannot happen! We must first deal with the injustice before we can deal with questions that arise out of that injustice. I am praying that Kenyans will listen to the voices of mothers; like Mama Kevin to see that justice is done," Orengo said. Kevin was shot dead by the police during the peaceful nationwide anti-government protests in Siaya county. Why is Orengo against ODM working with Kenya Kwanza The county boss claimed it would be ill-advised for the two leading political outfits to work together, stating that Ruto's administration was collapsing. Orengo argued that working with Ruto would be an abomination, insisting that the whole government must be sent home. "Ruto is taking us into a sinking ship and I am urging everybody that joining Ruto is a disaster, it's an abomination; it cannot work. When we say Ruto must go then he must go with all his people; the entire government must go," Orengo told mourners. by Didacus Malowa
