Nairobi County Woman Representative Esther Muthoni Passaris has revealed that she recently underwent surgery.

The politician disclosed this while responding to a Twitter user who asked about her well-being.

Passaris mentioned that she is feeling exhausted as she had surgery two weeks ago and was advised to take a three-week bed rest, advice which she did not follow.

“I’m feeling exhausted. It has been two weeks since my surgery. I was supposed to follow the doctor’s advice to take a three-week bed rest, but duty called, and I am passionate about serving. I am doing everything I can, and I know God loves me for who I am and what I do. I am a woman following God’s own heart,” Passaris responded.

The ODM politician continued to address her critics, saying they lack understanding.

“Everything else is meaningless; I can only pray for those who hate because they do not know better. They are filled with judgment and see themselves as holier than your perspective. I send them love and peace because they do not know better. Thank you for asking. We will talk tomorrow. Good night, good people,” she added.

This is not Passaris’s first surgery; she has undergone several surgeries in the past.

In January 2020, the Nairobi Woman Representative had spinal surgery at CIMS Hospital in India.

In a statement, Passaris said she had spinal surgery on January 1, a day after traveling to India.

The politician posted a video on her Twitter page walking with crutches while gaining stability after the surgery.

She added that she struggled to find a comfortable sleeping position and had to adjust her sleeping posture.

Passaris had also undergone another surgery at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi in September 2019 due to a back problem.

The politician had said that she has been dealing with back issues for nearly two decades and has consulted with more than ten doctors in the country about her condition.
