The newly promoted Kenya Army officers were on Friday investitured with their badges of ranks.
The officers were promoted following an announcement of the KDF promotions by President William Ruto on Wednesday.
The ceremony which was held at Kenya Army Headquarters was presided over by the Kenya Army Commander Lieutenant General David Tarus.
Lt Gen Tarus commended the promoted officers for the exemplary service they have rendered to the country.
Lt Gen Tarus hailed the officers for their growth through the ranks noting that they were equal to the tasks ahead of them and recognised their dedication, sacrifice and commitment,” Lt Gen Tarus said.
“As you ascend to higher ranks, the service places an even greater trust in your capabilities. I urge each of you to redouble your efforts and collaborate across service to tackle the security challenges facing our country,” he said.
Lt General Tarus urged the senior officers to lead with integrity and set a good example to their juniors by upholding the Army values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor and personal courage.
On his part, Deputy Army Commander Major General Mohammed Hassan urged the officers to uphold professionalism and integrity as they discharge their duties.
“You are role models in the service. Your new ranks entail more responsibilities and engagements. Endeavour to be professional and serve those under your command diligently,” Maj Gen Hassan said.
