Media personality Patricia Kihoro has lost her dad Wanyeki Kihoro.
Wanyeki passed away on July 10, 2024.
In a statement, the family of Kihoro announced that the funeral service would be held Friday at his family home in Karima.
Patricia expressed his love and described her father as her best friend and a great person.
“My heart breaks over and over again every single day. And I don’t think it’ll ever stop. It’s been real, Dad, you truly were my homie. Thank you for everything,” she said.
“Me: I love you, Dad. Dad: Asante.”
His burial will be communicated at a later date.
Kihoro has left behind a widow Vickie and three children.
“We, the Kihoro family, announce the passing of our beloved Wanyeki. Son of the late Domenic Kihoro and Agatha Wangechi Kihoro. Husband to Vickie, father to CJ, Jomo and Patricia Kihoro. Brother to the late Wairimu, Nduta, Wanjiru, Joe and Wakiuru. Uncle, cousin, grandfather, great grandfather and steadfast friend to many,” the statement reads.
Kenyans condoled with Patricia praying for strength during this difficult period.
Patricia is a singer, songwriter, actress, radio, and reality television personality.
She is also a content creator, influencer and YouTuber.
Patricia rose to prominence after she participated in the third season of Tusker Project Fame, where she became one of the finalists.
In acting, she has appeared in several local productions like the 2011 film, Miss Nobody, which saw her being nominated in the 2012 Kalasha Awards for best lead actress in a film.
In television production, she has been cast as a lead in Groove Theory, a musical drama and as a regular in Demigods, Changes, Rush and Makutano Junction.
As a radio presenter, she has worked with One FM and Homeboyz FM.
