KPLC announces counties to go without power 

Kenya Power has listed areas across six counties that will experience power interruption on Tuesday.

The power company said the interruptions are necessary to facilitate system maintenance.

The utility company said the planned power interruptions will take effect at diverse times between 9am and 5pm.

Counties to be affected are Nakuru, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu and

Nakuru

Parts of Nakuru set to experience power interruption from 9am to 4pm are DCK, Finlays Kingfisher, Kwa Muhia, Geothermal Plaza, Kamere, Oserian, Kongoni, Ndabibi, Aquilla Flowers, Rainforest, Sero, Ngondi, Maiella and Sakutiek.

Nyeri

Kamatongu, Muthiga Garden, Gen Karangi, Honi Resort, Aberdare County Club, Mwereri, Jersey Farm, Mweiga Blooms, PCEA Honi Prayer Centre, Flora Farm, Mweiga Town, Endarasha, Watuka, Charity, Kimunyuru and Embaringo in Nyeri will experience power cuts from 9am to 5pm.

Kirinyaga

Parts of Kirinyaga set to experience power interruption from 9am to 4pm include Kamweli Water Pump, Kamweli Primary, Atlantis Concrete, Sweet Corn, Behind Nice Rice Millers, Mugumoini Village and Gakungu.

Murang’a

Naaro, Muruka, Githiara Market, Mathuri Shopping Centre, Kibuku Market, Nguthuru Market and Kiranga Polytechnic in Murang’a will experience power cuts from 9am to 5pm.

Kiambu

Parts of Kiambu set to experience power interruption from 9am to 4pm include  part of Mugumo, Shooting Range, Rabat Road, Uganda Road, Chicago Road, Small Farm and Bwanji Farm.

Kilifi

Kilifi power cuts will occur from 9am to 5pm.

Areas include part of Mnarani, Kilifi Plantation, Plantation Sisal Fact, Mavueni, Mandharini, Chonyi, Jaribuni, Vipingo, Desalination Plant, Pazuri Homes, Vipingo Ridge and Vipingo Airstrip.

At the same time, areas including Jakaba, Kadanzo, Mariakani Stage, Sheerji Chemicals, Kibao Kiche, Mwareni, Madzimbani, Tsangatsini, Ndatani, Bamba Town, Jila Market, Mulungu wa Mawe Water Pump will also experience power interruption.
