Fans were left disappointed after Tanzanian singer Rayvanny failed to show up for his highly anticipated Toronto show this past weekend.

The singer and Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika were both expected to attend the event but left fans waiting.

They have since addressed their fans, revealing why they did not make it.

Rayvanny expressed his regret, saying: “I feel so sorry and very bad for my fans in Toronto. I prepared and planned for the show, but so many issues arose that prevented it from happening. I arrived very late, and by the time I got to the venue, there were misunderstandings.

I love you all very much, but what happened today was beyond my control. I traveled for many hours to entertain you, but unfortunately, I couldn’t join you today. I know you are very disappointed, and I am deeply sorry. We will meet with the organizers and announce a new date. Everyone who bought tickets will enter for free. Again, I am so sorry, my people in Canada.”

Vera echoed Rayvanny’s sentiments, sharing his message and describing the situation as “messy.” She added: “After a long flight and being ready on time (I didn’t even rest when I landed), I wasn’t able to see you all last night. So unfortunate. By now, you all know the mistake wasn’t on my side. I’m very professional, but it was beyond my control.”

Vera was also expected to attend a Swahili Festival but had to skip it. She explained: “I won’t be coming as my team hasn’t received any communication on flights and event arrangements, even after following up. This is beyond our control.”
