The death of Young Evans Seme Mokandu, aka Juniour, has left many in tears, especially his mentor in the school, Kiraguri, who helped him revise and tutored him in his areas of weakness. Kisii High School assistant captain, who helped Evans Seme Mokandu akak Juniour (r), revise.  How was Juniour’s last day at Kisii High? According to a teacher at the school, Juniour joined them on May 5, 2022, and was admitted to 1B. He was very hardworking. He would recover time spent in the hospital and extra-curricular activities by revising with the assistant school captain, Kiraguri.  “On his last day, he attended the cultural festival at his school and on closing ceremony he played the trumpet to his best. After supper, he joined the rest of the band members in training and was the one who wrote the songs that would be played,” said his teacher. Later, he went to look for Kiraguri so that they could study together, and they went to the captain’s office. What was Kiraguri’s message at Juniour’s burial? Kiraguri said that due to fatigue, he gave Juniour his notes to revise, and the two agreed to meet the following morning for refining, then parted ways at 10:43 pm.  “On the fateful morning of June 17, he took a long time to wake up, which was unusual. On trying to wake him up, his body was cold and numb. His arms couldn’t fold, and upon calling the school clinician the worst was confirmed,” reported the teacher at the burial. When he was given a chance, Kiraguri said it was not a time to be sad and thanked Evans for giving them a chance to be a part of his life. “We are sure that our brother slept in the Lord. It is Juniour’s wish that we all be strong in the Lord. We are really praying for you,” he said.
