Wild Video of Man Appearing to Pickpocket Suspect as Police Arrest Him Surfaces: "Wakora”

A  pickpocket arrested by police
A video of a daring pickpocket in action while in full glare of the camera and the police has amused social media users. A man seemingly pickpocketed a suspect being arrested. Did man rob suspect in front of cops? The guy was filmed slyly removing a phone from a man's pocket during an arrest along a street in the city. In the clip, two police officers are seen outside a shop attempting to restrain a suspect who is seemingly resisting arrest. One of the police officers is momentarily filmed wrestling with the suspect as he attempts to put handcuffs on the suspect's wrists. A crowd soon mills around the scene and draws closer to the police officers in order to make sense of the dramatic arrest. As the camera zooms closer, it shows the suspect writhing in an attempt to break free from the officer lying on top of him. The other cop, who is armed with an AK-47 rifle, is standing by while attempting to grab and handcuff his wrists. With both cop's backs momentarily turned, the man takes advantage of the situation to extract the suspect's phone. The video immediately cuts as soon as he makes the daring robbery, it is however not clear if he made away with it. However, some opined that he was not a pickpocket but an accomplice. Masilwa Johnson Isaac: "That phone had incriminating evidence that would have landed both of them in jail.”  Kevin Yerry Dome: “Kenya is full of thugs.” Why was Ian Njoroge arrested? The daring incident emerged just days after a teen was arrested in Nairobi for assaulting a traffic policeman. The 19-year-old was filmed beating up the lone traffic policeman along Kamiti Road, Nairobi. In the viral clip, the teen identified as Ian Njoroge kicked and punched the defenceless officer. He fled the scene after passersby intervened to help the officer. A manhunt was soon launched following public outcry. He was soon after arrested at his hideout in Kayole.
