Rigathi Gachagua Heartbroken as Elder Sister Dies: "We're Devastated"

 

DP Gachaguas sister dies 

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is mourning the death of his elder sister, Leah Wangari Muriuki. What did Gachagua say about his sister? In a statement on his Facebook page, Gachagua announced his sister's passing, saying that he and his family are devastated by the news. "I am saddened to receive news of the passing on of our eldest sister Leah Wangari Muriuki. Leah has been our Mother and the family Matriarch; she has taken good care of the larger Gachagua Family after the death of our father and our two mothers," he said. He paid tribute to his sister, describing her as the head of their family. The deputy president also extended his deepest condolences to his late sister's husband, children, and grandchildren.  Gachagua, who candidly acknowledged having a challenging week, stated that his sister's death made the situation worse for him. "This is a very difficult week for me as a national leader and a family man."  He concluded his statement by asking God to heal the country and all the families in it. Gachagua did not disclose the cause of his sister's death in his statement.
