Speaking to Citizen TV on Thursday, June 13, the riders warned lawmakers from the Mt Kenya region against voting for the bill. The dejected rider threatened to vote against the lawmakers in the next election if they approved the tax increment proposed by the National Treasury."The MPs should dare pass this budget. They will find us here; we are the ones who elected that, and if they do not know how to represent Mt Kenya people well, we will remove them from their seats very early,' a rider said. The boda boda rider stated that they had high hopes for the Kenya Kwanza administration, but current trends show that President William Ruto's administration does not care about hustlers. "We had high hopes for this government of Kenya First, but as it has reached, they are thinking about their office affairs and spending a lot of money on eating mandazis and going abroad," the rider added.
