Njambi Koikai's Burial Turns Chaotic as Her Body Is Lowered into The Grave

Mourners attend Koikais burial
Much-loved reggae emcee Njambi Koikai was buried at the Lang'ata Cemetery on Friday, June 14, in a ceremony attended by hundreds of her diehard fans. A crowed milled around Njambi Koikai's grave.  What happened at Njambi Koikai's funeral? Things turned chaotic after a reggae song was played, and the crowd started dancing. The emcee had to call for calm and urged the crowd to make way for Njambi's mother. However, the pleas did little to calm the crowd, who were keen on paying their last respects to the trailblazer. "Please let us respect the family and give them space so we can finish the burial," a man said. Her casket was then carried to the grave, where a crowd mobbed, trying to catch a last glimpse of her. The security team had a hard time controlling the crowd, and the presence of cops did little to help the situation. Some mourners opted not to join the melee, climbed trees, and watched the proceedings from afar. The security team surrounded the family members, shielding them from the shoving crowd. A shirtless man was seen shouting amid the pushing and pulling. Subscribe to watch new videos How was Njambi Koikai's mum at funeral? A video of the service at the Lee Funeral Home surfaced online, showing the moment her emotional mum arrived for the service.  Dressed in a black dress and red shuka, Njambi's mother had to be supported as she walked, overwhelmed by grief. The grieving mother took her place at the front of the tent where the service was held. She seemed lost in thoughts as she sat, placing the palm of her hand on her cheeks.
