Moses Kuria's Explosive Letter to Gachagua with Serious Claims Leak: "Refused to Eat in State House"

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua
The infighting in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance has taken a new twist with an explosive letter from Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. CS Moses Kuria (R) wrote a letter to DP Rigathi Gachagua (l).  How many issues did Moses Kuria raise in letter to Gachagua?  Kuria's letter, which contained serious allegations about the deputy president, was leaked to the public on Sunday, June 16.  In the letter, the outspoken CS raised 10 issues that he wanted Gachagua to address to convince him about the push for Mt. Kenya unity. Kuria claimed the deputy president no longer takes tea at State House meetings, fearing he could be poisoned. Kuria wondered what such a move would mean for the Cabinet Secretaries who attend meetings at Gachagua's Karen home. "Now you have refused to even have a cup of tea in State House, saying you fear you will be poisoned. Make me understand how you now expect us to feel safe coming to your Karen residence for Cabinet Committee meetings. Won't you also poison us now that you have a good idea of how poisoning works?" Kuria posed. Why did Gachagua allegedly demand KSh 10 billion? The Public Service CS also claimed the second-in-command had demanded KSh 10 billion from President William Ruto to use in 'fixing the ground' due to protests in Mt Kenya over the high cost of living. "When the cost of living was high and there was discontent on the ground, you went to the president and demanded that he give you cash of Ksh 10 billion to go fix the ground in Mount Kenya. Since it was denied, you now throw tantrums. How would the cash have benefited the people of Mount Kenya?" he posed. In the letter, Kuria accused Gachagua of having engineered his removal from the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry. He said the deputy president has been pressuring the president to fire him ever since the Cabinet was unveiled. "You pressed President Ruto repeatedly to have me fired. When you failed, you succeeded in having me transferred from the Ministry of Investments, Trade, and Industry because you thought my efforts in poverty reduction, job creation, and wealth creation were too dangerous for your plans," the CS added. What is the objective of the Mt. Kenya unity push? The outspoken CS further wondered about the objective of Gachagua's push for Mt. Kenya unity. He wondered whether Gachagua was planning to have control of the Mt. Kenya voting bloc in preparation for the 2027 presidential elections. "Which other voting block other than Mt. Kenya will you team up with? Who will trust you? Are you not being reckless and irresponsible with the political destiny of our people? Other than cheating them to change from Hustler to Villager, what other vision do you have for them?" the CS posed.
