Moses Kuria Hints at Gachagua's Impeachment Amid Deepening Cracks in Kenya Kwanza Govt

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria and DP Rigathi Gachagua
Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has shared a cryptic message amid deepening divisions in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance government. CS Moses Kuria (l) hinted at DP Rigathi Gachagua's impeachment.  What Moses Kuria said about Gachagua On Saturday, June 15, the outspoken CS indirectly targeted Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who seems to have fallen out with key leaders in the Kenyan Kwanza Alliance. In his cryptic message, Kuria, who never hides his dislike of the DP, hinted at an impeachment motion being initiated against Gachagua. "Impeachment loading....," Kuria said in a tweet. Kenyans commented on Kuria's tweet and suggested that the Public Service CS targeted the deputy president. How Kenyans reacted to Moses Kuria's tweet However, most Kenyans said the move might be counterproductive to President William Ruto's administration. Some said the president would lose many votes in the Mount Kenya region if he considered impeaching Gachagua. Anwar Saddat: "Bwana, we have a co-Presidency. With the lowest approval in the history of any elected leader, Ruto wouldn’t want to risk going on history book as the First Kenyan President to serve only 2 years. Kenyans will send him home in 2027!" Lydia: "Impeach Rigathi and you will ensure that Ruto will be a one term President and y’all going down with him." Mohamed: "I am sure you will be the first to be impeached." DUGUDICHI: "I have come to realise that in fighting for Kikuyus, your toughest opponent is a fellow Kikuyu. Kiuks don't love each other." SK: "We, the people from Mt. Kenya are ready to part ways with the UDA and leave some few JJ kamothos representing us in Government." How Ichung'wah criticised Gachagua Meanwhile, National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah renewed his onslaught against the deputy president. During a speech at Gichuru Memorial High School, Ichung'wah claimed Gachagua was trying to rally his Mt. Kenya base to sabotage Ruto. Ichung'wah advised Gachagua to focus on his role of supporting Ruto and fulfilling their promises to Kenyans He warned that Gachagua's ambitions would lead to his downfall if he continued undermining Ruto's administration.
