Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO) has invited applicants for more-than-a-year contract jobs. KETRACO workers preparing to maintain electricity transmission line. According to the job advert, interested candidates must submit their applications by Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Successful candidates will be required to present the following documents: Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations; Valid Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB); Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA); Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB). Which job opportunities are available at KETRACO? 1. Construction Supervision Technicians Successful job holders will be required to follow up on the progress of work on a day-to-day basis and report to the project manager. The position is a 2-year contract that will end upon project completion. Interested candidates are required to have a diploma in civil engineering and at least four years of experience.  2. Construction Engineers Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution. They must be registered members of the professional bodies and have at least three years of experience. 3. Legal Officer, Projects The legal officer shall report to the project legal officer. The job holder will serve for a one (1) year renewable contract subject to the project's completion. The legal officer must have at least three (3) years of experience in the wayleave acquisition process. To qualify for such career opportunities, Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has been offering study courses in related fields. Kenya Power electrical; study courses In February 2024, KPLC invited applicants to apply for diploma and certificate courses in electrical, mechanical, and automotive engineering, among other fields. The utility firm listed six diploma courses with a minimum termly fee of KSh 38,900 and five certificate courses with a minimum fee of KSh 37,900 per term. The minimum requirement for interested candidates is the Kenya Certificate for Secondary Education (KCSE).
