New details have emerged regarding the motor vehicle Ian Njoroge was driving moments before he allegedly assaulted a traffic police officer. Ian Njoroge was driving his mum's car when he was found flouting traffic rules.  Ian was captured on camera beating up a police officer after he was found flouting traffic rules along Kamiti Road in the Kasarani area.  Who is Ruth Nyambura Mbagara? It has now emerged that the 19-year-old boy's vehicle was not a PSV but a personal vehicle belonging to his mother. Speaking to Standard Digital, Ruth Nyambura Mbagara, the mother of the 19-year-old boy, disclosed that Ian sneaked out with the vehicle while she was away. “I asked him why, and he told me he wanted to bring the car back home before the time to go to church because he had taken the car without my knowledge and on his way, he met the policeman. It’s true he made a U-turn. "He is a good driver, he takes me to work. Its the car I use to work myself. I cannot have a sword in the car," Ruth said. Did the police molest Ian Njoroge? Meanwhile, the suspect's defence attorneys told the court that the student was molested at the police station after his arrest.  According to the lawyers, the clip of unidentified police officers interrogating him in a dark room was evidence of the torture he went through. As per the clip, the officers uttered unprintable words and ordered Njoroge to repeat them.
