President William Ruto back in the country
On Monday, June 17, President William Ruto arrived back in the country after concluding his three-day trip to Italy and Switzerland. President William Ruto arrived in the country using the Kenyan Airways plane.  Ruto left the country on Thursday, June 13, for Brindisi, Puglia, Italy, for the G7 Summit before proceeding to Bürgenstock, Switzerland, for a high-level meeting to forge peace in Ukraine.  Who received William Ruto at JKIA? The president returned to the country and was welcomed by senior government officials at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.  Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki led senior government officials, to receive the president at JKIA. Others were PS Raymond Omollo, Kenya Air Force Commander, Major General Fatuma Ahmed, National Assembly, and Senate majority leaders Kimani Ichung'wah and Aaron Cheruiyot, among others However, some Kenyans raised questions after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua failed to show up at JKIA to receive his boss. How did Kenyans react to Gachagua's absence? Kenyans wondered why the second-in-command was not at JKIA, with some saying the ongoing talks of possible fallout in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance could have been behind the latest developments. Omwamba: "While you were asleep, President William Ruto landed Back from Europe. Guess who is missing?"  Alinur Mohamed: "President William Ruto is back in the country. Where is villager Rigathi Gachagua who is supposed to receive Zakayo?" Rodgers Kipembe Mpuru: "Gachagua is chilling at his Mathira home." The Government Critic: "President William Ruto finally visits Kenya, and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is nowhere to receive him." P.K., King: "Gachagua is missing in action." @muchiri1964: "In 2027, Ruto's running mate will not be Riggy G, Ndindi,Waiguru or ,the overzealous Ichung'wa. It will be a woman, Gladys Wanga. She will backed by Nyanza and Western. The young Turks causing havoc on the mountain will be assigned Cs. Murima will be silenced for ever!"
