Embu Family Claims Late Kin Is Haunting Them, Suspects They Buried Wrong Body: "Hatujui ni Mukami"

A saddened family in manyatta constituency
A family in Kimang'aru village, Manyatta constituency, has appealed for help to exhume a body on their farm. The family of Jospaht Muriithi said bizarre incidents have plagued them since the girl's burial.  The family of Jospaht Muriithi suspect the body might not be of their 18-year-old kin, who was buried months ago.  Since her burial, the family said they have witnessed a series of shocking events, leaving them questioning if they really buried their granddaughter. The girl reportedly passed on in February while living with a guardian, and the body was transferred home for burial. According to Muriithi's wife, when they collected her body, it wasn't in proper condition, and everyone who viewed it collapsed. "She had a veil like the one used in weddings. They were saying that in their church, they bury people dressed in clothes similar to wedding attire," she said. Muriithi's wife added that this was followed by the death of another four the next Saturday and looked to have been strangled. In the latest bizarre incident, the lady said she was in church when she got information that all their livestock had cut marks. She said that they've tried all possible interventions, including prayers, but all have been in vain, with exhumation looking like the only option. "Please help us to remove this body from here because we don't know if it is Mukami we buried or not," they pleaded. The family further called on the government to investigate the circumstances surrounding their teenage granddaughter's death.
