Dan Koikai's Childhood Friend Praises Him for Rising from Children's Home to Ambassador

Lucy Muthoni praises her childhood friend the late Ambassador Daniel Koikai
Lucy Muthoni, a childhood friend of the late Ambassador Daniel Koikai, has shared a side of him the public does not know. Dan Koikai's Childhood Friend Praises Him for Rising from Children's Home to Ambassador  Many heard about him recently after her daughter, renowned reggae MC Njambi Koikai, died. In a long Facebook post, Muthoni disclosed that Dan was her brother in upbringing because they grew up together at the Kabete Children's Home. According to Muthoni, all his siblings from the children's home celebrated when he beat the odds to become an ambassador. "He used his position and resources to support the home and contributed to the educational needs of hundreds of kids over the years," she wrote. She recalled him visiting the children's home and bringing beautiful wooden double-decker beds. Muthoni added that his ties with the Salvation Army Church-run facility made them view him as their brother and father. Years after, he was the glue that kept former "brothers and sisters" from the home together. "He supported all financial appeals in our WhatsApp group and availed himself to visit those in need," she continued. It, therefore, hurt her when she saw just how much had been said about him since his daughter died, most of it by people who didn't know him. For this reason, she chose to tell the world the other side of him that people are ignorant of. Muthoni reiterates that Dan was the human, generous, kind, supportive brother and father to kids who passed through the home for decades. "Dan, may you rest in peace. As the Sally family, we are struggling to accept and deal with your death. But we accept God's will," she concluded.
