These projects include building bakeries and improving existing workshops, among other income-generating activities in correctional facilities nationwide. Although the amount of funding for this plan has not been announced, Correctional Services PS Salome Beacco stated that the government has defined eight pillars to ensure that offenders acquire training and work experience before reintegrating into society once their sentences are completed. These pillars include revitalising prison farms to promote agriculture, establishing industries, various educational institutions, the housing construction sector, roads, the environment, the legal department, and electronic revenue collection, among others.
