Alphonse Makokha Heartbroken as Children Ask for Mum Days after Her Death: "Imewahit"

Veteran actor Matayo Keya, also known as Alphonse Makokha, has opened up about his pain following the death of his loved one. Alphonse Makokha emotionally opens up about his wife, Purity Wambui. The actor lost his beloved wife, Purity Wambui, barely a week ago, leaving a massive emotional wound. During an interview with TUKO.co.ke, the grieving Makokha said he had been married to the deceased for over 30 years. What was cause of death of Makokha's wife?  However, it had not been easy for them as Makokha revealed his wife had been sick for almost 18 years, having been diagnosed with cancer.  "The last few months have been tough. We knew she had been unwell for over a decade and a half. I have tried my best to care for her and ensure she is well. I have tried to make a difference for her with the little I had," he tearfully said. Makokha did not want to share his struggles, saying he knew people had other needs to care for. When asked how many children they had, Makokha said they were blessed with many children, not specifying the number. He shared that the kids were also affected by the death of their mum, as they miss her warmth and presence. "It has hit and affected them. They are in disbelief. The youngest, who is 11 years asks where mum is. I have to lie and say she is in Heaven. She has gone to be with the Lord. I have to counsel the little one. It is painful, sad and hard," he emotionally shared.
