A video of veteran radio host Alex Mwakideu publicly apologising to his wife, Mariam Mwemba, has emerged, leaving many with mixed reactions. In it, he recalled a time he messed up his marriage but got through the situation with his wife. How Alex Mwakideu got wife to forgive him "I thank God for my wife; she is a good woman. I once messed up so badly. It is the way you talk to your wife. Most men deny when they mess up. I own up. I messed up, and I am humbly before you, repenting. Forgive me, my love. And I genuinely ask for forgiveness. If that is your lifetime partner and you have decided to be with them, then you do not want to hurt them daily," he said.  The radio personality also admitted that he recently did something that left his wife pissed and publicly apologised. Without going into details, Mwakideu vowed not to repeat the mistake again and asked his wife to use the interview as future evidence. "My Mariam, my love, the mother of my house, my heart. There is no other. I do not even want another. The mistake happened, but I am apologising again. Forgive me. It will not happen again, and this is a good record. It will not happen again," he further said. Mwakideu on what makes marriage work He also noted that most people struggle in marriages these days because they only marry because they fall in love. Mwakideu said: "Marriage is very simple. The mistake men make is they fall in love and want to marry people they fall in love with. But when you fall in love, you can easily fall out of love. You should grow in love. According to him it took her eight years to agree to marry him as she constantly said he was not ready to settle down. She only agreed to date him when he moved from Mombasa to Nairobi, and they got married in 2014.
