Actor Makokha seeks financial help for late wife's funeral

Long-time comedian on the KBC TV show "Vioja Mahakamani," Matayo Keya, popularly known as Alphonse Makokha, has asked for financial assistance to cover the funeral costs of his late wife, who passed away a few days ago.

This information was revealed by the chairman of the funeral planning committee, who is also a long-time fellow actor, Hiram Mungai Ngigi, popularly known as Ondiek Nyuka Kwota.

Through his Facebook page, Nyuka Kwota posted pictures of Makokha and his late wife, Purity Wambui, together during her lifetime, and mentioned that the deceased left behind a significant hospital bill.

The family needs the support of her fans to give her a proper send-off.

“We reach out to you in a time of need. Our beloved comedian Matayo Msagani Keya, known to many as Makokha•Makacha "BabyFace," is facing a tough time.

His dear wife, Purity Wambui Msagani, has passed away, and we are asking for your help to cover her hospital bills and provide her with a deserving send-off.”

“If you would like to support Matayo during this difficult time, please send your contributions to the following account: Account/Mpesa Number: 7870966. Account Name: Shanice Njeri Msagani. Your generosity and kindness are greatly appreciated,” Nyuka Kwota requested.

Two days ago, Nyuka Kwota informed the public about the death of Makokha’s wife through social media, which came as a huge shock to many.

However, the announcement did not provide detailed information about the cause of death.
