Kakamega mum in pain after losing daughter during protests There’s a similar situation in Kakamega as Alice Nekesa is mourning her daughter Caroline Shiramba, who was shot dead during the anti-Finance Bill 2024 protests. Nekesa and Shiramba were at Ikolomani Market when the demonstrations turned chaotic, and everyone scampered for safety. The mother survived, only to learn the following day that her daughter was lying cold at the morgue.
