A Kenyan man with 10-meter-long dreadlocks has narrated how he navigates his daily activities while hauling the long hair. The Kenyan man said he started wearing his hair in dreads because of his modelling career. Felix Orina said he started wearing the 10-meter-long dreadlocks because of his career as a model, as he wanted to stand out from the already-saturated industry. Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV, Felix, popularly known as King Fella, said he has two men whom he hired to help him haul the long dreadlocks around. How does Felix take care of his long hair? For the maintenance of the long dreads, he said he goes to talented hairdressers who clean and style the dreads to ensure they are chic and well-kept. “While in the salon, my hair stylist first takes out a portion of the dreads, then proceeds to wash and style the remaining shoulder-length hair. I am already used to having the long dreads on me. I got used to it as part of my brand,” he said. When he first started wearing the long dreadlocks, his mum was not quite impressed and regularly criticised his hair. “She would tell me to take them down, saying the society would not be accepting of my dreadlocks. I explained to her that I need to look like this for the sake of my modelling career,” he stated. King Fella revealed his long hair, albeit being artificial, has been bringing him lucrative brand deals and he loves stepping out in them.
