On Friday Night comedian Eric Omondi was finally released from police custody after being arrested earlier in the day.

The comedian was arrested outside parliament and taken to Central Police Station for allegedly staging anti-Finance Bill protests using a horse.

Kenyans from all walks of life took to social media to call for his immediate release after police started playing games with his lawyers who had gone to secure his freedom.

Immediately after his release, Omondi used his socials to inform his fans and followers that he was a freeman.

He headed straight to Carnivore grounds for his brother’s night vigil dubbed ‘Fred Omondi’s Last Laugh’

“Tukutane Carnivore sasa!! I’m on my way to ‘One more Last laugh’ for Fred Omondi,” he said.

Omondi also assured his fans that he was very okay despite being manhandled by the police during his arrest.

He only complained about being hurt on his back when he was pulled down from the horse.
