Eric Omondi arrested in Nairobi CBD 

Comedian turned political activist Eric Omondi has been arrested in Nairobi. Omondi was arrested on Friday, June 21, outside the Parliament Building as he attempted to stage anti-Finance Bill protests. Who was with Eric Omondi during his arrest? In a video seen by TUKO.co.ke, the popular comedian was in the company of a few other people donning red clothes while protesting. Omondi was riding on a horse, marching along Parliament Road, when police officers followed them and arrested him as other activists shouted “power to the people”.  In the viral video, the officers are then seen pulling Omondi from the back of a horse as they beat him up before they whisked him away What did Eric Omondi say before his arrest? Moments before his arrest, the activist could be heard shouting that he does not fear death, given that his brother Fred Omondi died recently. Omondi dared the police to kill him, arguing that he was not afraid of death. “Come and kill me, my brother was also killed,” he shouted moments before he was arrested.
