What’s name of Chomba’s sons? The politician, who was nominated to the First Assembly in 2013, was laid to rest on Friday, June 14, in an emotional ceremony. “Today is a very sad day as Hon Lucy Chomba is laid to rest. Lucy was a beautiful, humble soul. May Jehovah give the Chombas and people of Huruma fortitude as this great mother, daughter, friend and leader is laid to rest. Poleni sana,” Veska Kangogo’s post read. Chomba unfortunately left behind two young sons, Joe and Wellington Kiiru, who were smartly dressed in the ceremony. The boys looked inconsolable, grappling with the heartbreaking reality of the demise of their mother. Chomba’s kids’ tribute to mum The two sorrowful kids shared a tribute to their mum, who was confirmed dead in her house in West Indies Estate, Eldoret. “Mum, you are precious, a gift from God. You possessed so much beauty, grace, love, and patience. You touched our hearts in so many ways. Even on dark days, your strength and smile made us realise we had an angel beside us. We do not know how we will do life without you. How do we tell our story when you (mummy), the storyteller, aren’t around to guide us through the various parts of the work? It feels as though you have left us to fend for ourselves in this strange world. How is our past assured off danger if you aren’t there to mark the right spots for us to follow? On this day, we cry our hearts out to the world, for we have lost a vital team player, a coach, a mentor, and above all, a mother who is to mould, shape, and prepare us for the future,” their tribute read.
