William Ruto Receives Outstanding Leaders Award From US Chamber of Commerce

 

President William Ruto feted with the US-Kenya Business Center's Outstanding Leaders Award 
President William Ruto has been feted with the US-Kenya Business Center's Outstanding Leaders Award during his State visit to the US. Ruto is the fourth leader ever to be recognised with the prestigious award.  Why was Ruto awarded  The Kenyan head of state was bestowed the honour by the American Chamber of Commerce. Ruto was given the award by US Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Susan Clark during the U.S.-Africa Business Forum on Friday, May 24. Vice President Kamala Harris also attended the event at the Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C. Clark lauded Ruto for his work in attracting foreign investments to Kenya and the African continent. She stated the award was for Ruto's work in promoting business-led solutions and commitment to trade initiatives to grow Kenya's economy. "In recognition of your work to really promote business-led solutions and your steadfast commitment to trade and investment initiatives to grow Kenya's economy, it is my honour to present to you the US.-Africa Business Centres Outstanding Leaders Award," she said. She added that Ruto was the fourth recipient of the award, stating that they were grateful for his leadership.  Ruto woos US companies The heads of state told the forum that Kenya was ready for foreign investors, adding that the country would help bring their visions to reality. "Kenya works, and we mean business. When it comes to investment, we are ready for you. Let's bring your vision to reality. And let us build Kenya together with your companies," he said. Ruto's sentiments were echoed by Clark, who said that Kenya saw a country of limitless private sector potential if the American market was willing to seize it.
