The Gospel music industry is set for a major shakeup, according to singer Eko Dydda.

He has announced a music comeback, and that the old Kenyan gospel music is back 'a revival is here. God is doing wonders na imeanza'. he said speaking to youtuber Trudy Kitui.

Dydda has been on a hiatus, but has been keeping up with the strides being made in the entertainment world.

"Music ya Kenya iko juu sana compared to where it started. We have climbed great heights, "

Where has he been?

"Ina tegemea sana na calling. I come back when there is something to say. When I have nothing to say I keep quiet. "

The veteran artiste is returning with new music, something special for his fans

"Tuko na album mbichi inakuja saa hii inaitwa Pastor Kwa Hoodie. Tunashugulikia dates nini na nini..but ni mbaya. tunapanga kitu bigggie sana one for the industry. "

He says he is refining his sound which will fuel his comeback

" It will be one for the industry.

But my fans should expect something different version of Eko. But with so much love na content ni yesu. Tunaifanya venye watu hawajazoea. Mmezoea gospel Fulani kuna venye watu wana expect kama msanii wa gospel vitu vifanyike, done in a way that we represent Christ "

He is working on several things as he makes a revival

"There is power in silence until it works out . If you tell people your plans, then you will face negativity "

He also spoke about how music has made turns

"I miss old school gospel artistes. I miss MOG, jeshi yote, kina Owen I miss the love that we had, the buzz it was so genuine in a way that it made this industry what it is. "

He noted

"Corporates came in because of Gospel It was positive, that women, children and the elderly could attend. Si kitu chafu, they were excited to enter the entertainment industry coz music was clean, they knew it didn't have beef, it was so much of love and the content was so positive they felt nourished by the entertainment industry rather than ku chafuka, that really attracted corporates.
