Popular Kenyan SDA Couple Narrates Receiving Bizarre Sufuria as Wedding Gift: "Made Us Sick"

Kenyan tiktok couple the Maangis
A popular Kenyan couple, famously known as The Maangis, has narrated how a bizarre wedding gift predisposed them to a strange sickness in the first weeks of their marriage. The Kenyan couple narrated how they received a bizarre sufuria on their wedding.  The Maangis, who are staunch members of the Seventh Day Adventist and popular on TikTok, narrated that a 'bewitched' sufuria given to them as a wedding gift made them sick after they made food in it. Speaking on TV47, Michelle narrated that when she first saw the cooking pot, she found it best to cook food on the eve of their Sabbath as it was big enough to hold plenty of food.  "The sufuria was not even wrapped, but I thought it was the best to make food on Fridays because, on Saturdays, we are at church all day as SDAs. However, each time we cooked in the sufuria, we would fall so ill," she said, adding they would experience symptoms such as diarrhoea. "It became like a pattern where for the three weekends that we made food in it, we would become so sick that we could not even make it to church," Sammy said. The Maangis' suspicions The couple said their condition would improve over the weekdays when they would switch the cooking pot, and that was when they started being suspicious. "At first, we wondered whether we were becoming indisposed due to the new environment as we had just moved houses but then we settled that the sufuria was the problem because we were healthy when we did not make any food in it," they said.  Michelle said she approached her mother-in-law and expressed her suspicions over the bizarre sufuria. "My mother-in-law asked me to take it to her, and she prayed for it. She now uses it and since then, we have never fallen sick again," Michelle stated. The Maangis on speaking with exes In a separate story, The Maangis addressed questions about their relationship on the Couple Show. The duo, who officially tied the knot on April 29, 2023, discussed communicating with past partners. Michelle believes that communication with exes should be accompanied by clear boundaries and objectives.
