Charismatic Nairobi pastor Victor Kanyari has announced a new initiative to support his church members through a series of television advertisements. Pastor Kanyari Offers to Support Members Through TV Adverts, Says People on TikTok Are Broke The adverts, according to Pastor Kanyari, are meant to market the businesses and boost the entrepreneurs' revenue streams. Speaking to the congregation after the church service, Kanyari expressed his desire to see his followers succeed in business. To achieve that, he committed to supporting the business ventures of his congregation through his media team.  “If we support a member’s business to grow, we shall be assured they will come back to assist others in need,” he started. The controversial pastor clarified that his project is meant for his TV audience, not the new followers he’s amassed on TikTok. Kanyari calls TikToker's "broke" According to him, most people on TikTok are brainless and broke compared to their TV counterparts. “My TV followers are serious people, mature, and are financially capable of assisting. TikTokers hawana uwezo (TikTokers are broke)," he said. He requested members to share details of their businesses so he could advertise them on his channels. The clergyman added that the catch to his promise is that beneficiaries will remain members and attend church services. “You must come to church so that when I do a fundraiser, you join the contribution,” he reiterated. Kanyari criticised over new idea Critics, however, questioned the motives behind the campaign, suggesting it may be another tactic the pastor has created to gain popularity and financial support.Nick Flair: "Kwani hao wafuasi wake hawaoni this guy is just after money? Kanyari receives redemption from TikTok His sentiments come days after Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) boss Ezekiel Mutua prayed for him. Mutua had criticised the clergyman for his controversial behaviour on TikTok, calling it a mockery of the Christian faith. The MCSK boss expressed his displeasure with Kanyari's ways and blamed such behaviour for the moral decline among youth. When the two met, Kanyari apologised and fell to his knees as Mutua placed a hand over his head to pray for him.
