A family in mourning after they lost two sons and a daughter in law
A Murang'a woman is in great sorrow and distress after her two adult sons and her daughter-in-law passed away on Sunday, May 12, after surprising her on Mother's Day. The Murang'a woman narrated how her two sons and daughter-in-law passed away on Mother's Day. The distraught mother narrated that the trio visited her on Sunday to surprise her for Mother's Day to spend the day with her and their father, who was also at home. Speaking on Chuma Moto Media's YouTube channel, the woman said that upon their arrival, she went to make the three of them some tea and lunch, and they even shared some of the snacks that the two brothers and her daughter-in-law had carried with them. "They came here on Mother's Day, and I asked them why they did not inform me prior, but they said they wanted to surprise me for Mother's Day. They were my two sons and my daughter-in-law married by one of them," she said.  They spent the day together until evening, when the three began their journey back to their houses in Murang'a town. They were to use a motorbike that Mwangi, the elder brother, had. "I asked them to call us after arrival to inform us that they had arrived safely," she said. The following morning, she and her husband became restless. Her daughter would call her a few hours into the day and ask her to go to Murang'a town as they had heard some news. It was after arrival at a Murang'a-based hospital that she was taken to the mortuary and told that her sons and daughter-in-law perished in a crash after their boda boda was hit by a vehicle. The family is still struggling to come to terms with the tragedy that claimed the lives of their three family members and is seeking help to aid with the funeral expenses.
