A Burundian singer, identified as Mr Champagne, has expressed his disappointment when his arrival in Kenya didn't go as planned. Burundian singer Mr Champagne claims Kenyan girlfriend switched off her phone after he arrived in Kenya. The singer alleged that upon his arrival to meet his Kenyan partner for their first face-to-face encounter, she became unreachable by turning off her mobile phone. Did Kenyan lady con Burundian singer? In an interview with content creators at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Mr Champagne recounted his long-distance relationship with the woman, during which he claims to have invested a significant sum of money, approximately KSh 2 million. He expressed bewilderment over her sudden disappearance. The singer elaborated on his dual-purpose visit to Kenya, which included a media tour and the much-anticipated meeting with his beloved. Despite their ongoing communication, he was met with silence at the airport, with no sign of her presence and no way to reach her. "I have come to Kenya for a media tour and to meet a certain lady because I loved her so much. We have been communicating on the phone, but I have not seen her here at the airport, and she is unreachable. I have spent a lot of money on her. I have to look for her because I have so far given her KSh 2 million. She might have conned me, but if that is the case, then it is going to be a war," he said.
